Thanksgiving pt. 1

Before we went to Pennsylvania for the Thanksgiving week, we went to Long Island. We left Friday early morning and got into the Hallaren's that night. We stayed until Monday morning. Over the weekend we toured where Scott grew up in Stony Brook. We at a lot of pizza. We were able to see just a few people that Scott knew on Saturday and many more on Sunday at church. We had so much fun and wish we could have stayed just one more day.

Addi loved chasing the seagulls that were there!

On our way to PA, we drove through the city. I mainly wanted to see Rockafeller Plaza and the Christmas tree. Even though we were one week early before it was to be lit I got to see it still. We also stopped by the temple and used their bathrooms and played in Central Park.

The tree was still getting some work done.
Addilyn got to play at Central Park.

Hello 2nd trimester, please be good to me

Ok, so not our baby. But according to the internet, our little love is about 3.5" long now. That's probably about the size of my thumb (from tip to wrist). So far as I mentioned in my last post, I've been a bit more queezy in this pregnancy than Addilyn's. The time I felt my worst with Addi was actually about now. So I'm really hoping that since this pregnancy has already proven itself to be a bit different, that instead I will get better! Of course there are the other symptoms I've been having- mainly nasty headaches. I could totally do without those. I'm just as tired, if not more, with this one. These dang kids suck everything out of you! It's incredible the feeling of complete exhaustion and you've only just woke up. I'm thinking I need to start taking some iron like I had to with Addi.

Right now I'm taking a break from cleaning and packing. We are headed to Long Island on Friday for the weekend and then spending Thanksgiving week with family in Pennsylvania. We are really excited for Addilyn to play with all of her cousins, since last year she was a little less mobile (only 8 months old). We thought we were going to be able to see my dad too, but plans changed. He was sent to PA to help his company with the overload of claims they were getting due to the hurricane. Well, he is actually flying back today. It was supposed to be 2 weeks, probably 3 that he was supposed to be there. They had enough people but the claims just sort of stopped and didn't need the extra hands anymore. Oh well....On a happy note, my mom is coming for Christmas! Woo!

Coming clean

Okay, so there is one more reason why I've been a horrible blogger. Yes, the number one reason is my laptop is refusing to take internet from my phone (we've been tethering for the last year+). But the 2nd reason?
We are expecting! Yes, that is supposed to be a little baby on my shirt...We made this discrete public announcement at our ward trunk or treat on Halloween. We are due May 15. That makes me 13 weeks tomorrow. We knew we were pregnant back in early September. Our babies will be almost exactly 2 years apart. So far Addilyn has been very accommodating and taking 2 hour naps which allows me to nap too. I've been queezier (is that a word?) than I was with Addilyn. And I'm very happy I made a gazillion freezer meals because I have no desire to cook.
Our pumpkin. I made all of our costumes and was very proud of it too. We haven't really had good costumes since we were Napoleon and Pedro when we were first married. Below is a picture of another girl dressed as a pumpkin. If you look close enough you can see they are both eyeing the sucker the girl is holding.

October

Let's see. This past month there have been a few fun activities that we did. For one, we got pumpkins. Addilyn was a wild woman running up and down the pumpkin rows. We still play outside because fall here is the best. It's been average 70's during the day. This last weekend of course has changed because of the hurricane (which all we got was wind). The fall is truly my most favorite time of year here. Spring is second, only because it's followed by humidity whereas now it's significantly less humidity. So once again, I'm doing a massive picture throw up on here because that's how I've been rolling for the last several months.
For a while now she knows exactly what to do without us coaching.

wasn't scared at all!

I told her to say "cheese" so she said "cheeks!"

It's too hot to have fires in the summer so we take advantage in the fall!

Toga!
