Rolling over at 39 days!

After she did it the first time, I ran and got our video camera to record it. I got her several more times after it. She just couldn't stop rolling over! Also, last night Addilyn slept a little over 8 hours! I wish it would start a little sooner then from 11:30pm-7:45am. If you get her happy enough, she'll smile at you too. She's growing too fast!

For other news, my best friend from school had her baby on Wednesday! I'm so bummed I missed it and can't see her and her new baby. At least she's from Chattanooga, TN and we can see them hopefully this summer in their travels! Congrats Rebekah and Jared!

Yesterday Scott and I got a tour by Roy who Scott works with (and the Bishop who contacted him about the job here). We got to see where more homes are, both rental and for buy. The houses here are beautiful and the landscaping is too. There are several colonial and Victorian styled homes. We're really excited to see what we can get into.

Mini Montage of Addilyn

Just a montage of clips we've taken of Addilyn. The photos below Meleana (White) Finoimoana took and I edited them. There are a ton, but these are just a few to sample.

What a week!

Saturday the 28th we moved from Rexburg. The company paid to have packers and movers for us, so we didn't have to do anything but clean. We did have to pack our things for 2 weeks into our rental car (which we had gotten the day before) and set aside things we wanted delivered to our temporary apartment. Besides that, our move was a breeze.
This is what our back seat looked like the whole trip. Cabo and Addilyn are great travelers. Before we left Rexburg, we went to a new ice cream place across from Porter Park. We counted at least 12 couples from where we were sitting that were lying on the grass, probably all making out. Thank you for the last memory!
We stayed at the White's house in Ceder Hills, Utah Saturday and Sunday night. Pictures from their place will be in another post, and you'll know why when you see it. But while we were in Utah we saw Brad, Rachel (Scott's sister), Lucy and Charlie. Addilyn is only 13 days older than Charlie.
There is quite the size difference between the two. Charlie was born at 7 pounds and some change and Addi just under 9. The Meldrums are moving to China this summer!
Sunday night after an amazing dinner cooked by Garek White, Katrina and her husband Mark came over to meet Addilyn. Katrina and I were best friends in high school and she now lives in Salt Lake. It was sad to say bye for now, but she is trying to talk Mark into a trip out east!
Monday morning we left Utah for the longest part of our trek to Missouri. We wanted to make the 15 hour drive in one day, but due to weather we stopped in Nebraska for the night. We arrived in Smithville, Mo Tuesday morning.
Shirley and her girls came over. Afton (far right and below) was in love Addilyn. This is a good thing since Shirley is expecting her 3rd daughter in the fall. Olivia was in love with Cabo.
While in Missouri we decided to have Addilyn's baby blessing. We thought that this was going to be last time with family for a while and we did it Tuesday night.

Below are those who participated in the blessing. Bishop Lister (far left) is my sister-in-law Mariah's uncle...small world! Then it's Scott, Dad Smith, and Erik Western (Shirley's husband and Addilyn's uncle).

The family that was there. From back left: Dad Smith, Gunnar, me, Scott, Erik, Afton. Front left: Mom Smith, Issac, Addilyn, Shirley, Olivia. Below is with Scott's parents. Addilyn's beautiful dress was from Grandma Jadwin.
That night we drove to see the new Kansas City temple that is still under constructions. It is gorgeous.

Dad Smith, Gunnar, Isaac, Scott, Addilyn, and I all went fishing at the Smithville Lake.

We thought Scott caught a bass, but it ended up being something else and apparently they don't taste good. We kept it without knowing that- but it was huge! Dad caught the same type of fish but threw it back in.
For dinner Shirley had made pistachio cake. Since my birthday is in June, the family decided to throw on 22 candles for my birthday anyway.
We then drove the next day to Cincinnati, Ohio where Scott's sister Anika and her family lives. We stayed just for the night but will possibly go back over the 4th of July. Anika has more pictures of her kids holding Addilyn, but I had this one of Kayla.

We stopped somewhere in Virginia for a quick break. Scott felt like he needed to nap for about 15 minutes and then would be good the rest of the time. Addilyn had a great time wiggling around out of the car seat.

We crossed the North Carolina border at about 5:30 Friday. This was at the first rest stop in the state. Scott is pointing to Winston-Salem where we now live! There will be more posts to come about our arrival.

3 weeks old!

Addi going to church for the first time. I was nervous that she was going to have one of her really loud explosive sounding poos during the quite part of church. But no, she reserved that for Relief Society. The teacher even stopped talking- it was really long sounding but when I went to change her it was like nothing. Silly girl.
She had an appointment on Monday. She's still perfect and since her birth weight she has gained 1.1 pounds! I told you she was a muncher. The picture below is a partial smile. She does these random smiles here and there. These pictures are from waiting in the doctors office.
My dad left the 20th which has left Scott and I alone for the first time with Addilyn. The past few nights I've been having Scott wake up once to feed her which has been really nice for me! I get to sleep a couple more hours in a row. As for eventful moments for Addi (besides Sunday's ultimate poo/fart experience) she has slept the longest for 6 hours, once. Today she sprayed poo on me when I was lifting her up to put a new diaper under her. She loves taking showers and being warm. Her legs are always straight rather than curled up like newborns usually like. When she stretches she is super cute and looks like the middle picture (she knows she's got some win in her...Jadwin that is) She is really an easy baby and hasn't had any problems. She only cries when she is hungry or cold or her binky fell out and she wants it again.

We move Saturday. Originally it was Friday, but the movers are overloaded and had to postpone us by a day. Our car is still getting picked up on Friday so we still had to get our rental car early. We couldn't get a van. No one wants to give up their vans that won't be returned since we're dropping it off in North Carolina. We'll be styling in a Chevy Traverse instead
