Memorial Weekend

(the Sunday after London)

Thankfully we had an extra day (thanks to those who serve/have served) with Scott before he had to go back to work. We went strawberry picking in the morning. Which by the way, they were heavenly. Addilyn had so much fun finding all the big ones! And poor Levi was suffering from an ear infection and teething. He was a trooper though.

Poor Levi. I posted on Facebook a little bit ago about his teeth. That he had gained about 6 new teeth in 3 weeks time. Well, I lied. It's more like 8. His entire top has practically come in. I don't know if there is anymore room for any top ones. But he still only has his two bottom teeth. At least, I think so. I don't like sticking my fingers in his mouth (hence the 8 teeth situation...) His only symptom I believe was his ear infection. The cold was just a side thing, which Scott and I both contracted.

 Addilyn finally came out of her shell at the library. She was front and center dancing and having a grand ole time. She even made a friend/dancing partner.

Levi hates the water. But this will change. Mark my words. While Addilyn enjoyed the sprinklers we just sat in a camping chair and watched. He doesn't even like his toes getting wet....

This one time in London...

This one time, Scott went to London....OK he went to London for work and came back, maybe I'll do a blog post with some of his pictures. But for now this is from the week before and while he was gone. (and in case you were wondering, London was for work).

The weekend before Scott left we did a babysitting/date swap with the Grey's. Friday night we took their kiddos while they went to the Greek Festival. This picture above of Levi being so excited that people were at our house. I mean, it's not like we never do...it's just he was especially excited...

 Chloe is 1 month older than Addilyn and Eli is 3? months older than Levi. Convenient.

 Our date consisted of going clothes shopping at Kohls and then using some of our giftcard at Village Tavern for lunch. Oh my heck, I can't remember the last time I ate so much. We had an appetizer, main, and dessert (x's2). Our waiter hit it off with us and when it came time for dessert, we talked about how amazing their carrot cake is. (I mean just look at it) He then started talking about their key lime pie. He then said he'd go get us a slice to try. aosidhflaksndflakshdfoiasdflksndfl you had to roll me out after we were done.

That evening we went to the Greek Festival. It was a mad house! You know when you go to things like this, you think, man, I wish I was Greek! Well, we were for a few hours. It was awesome.

So Sunday Scott left and that afternoon I invited myself over to Madison's for dinner. I brought it...don't worry I'm not that rude :)  We had lots of fun at her little park. However Addi really didn't like Sawyer, her dog, because she barked at her. That was a bummer.

 Levi worked on his walking while dad was away and MAN he walks so well now!!!

 I also hosted one of the last playgroups of the "school" year. We practiced taking turns...yikes.

AND Addilyn had her first soccer practice. Some of you saw the video posted on Facebook of her crying/having a meltdown. Well, don't worry. The last 2 practices she has been awesome and hasn't had any problems. We have pep talks before each time now about being happy and cheering. :)

Then Scott came home from London and brought me chocolate. I only requested two things from London- chocolate and lots of pictures. He did well on both. And now we are back to normal. ish.

Levi's ONE

(These pictures uploaded backwards...) Levi turned ONE on May 13. Most, actually, all of the celebrations were Saturday the 10th. He even opened all his family presents that same day instead of his birthday. We had so much fun at the party. It was for both him and Addilyn. The whole morning we were worried it was going to rain which would have been a huge bummer since all our plans were for outside. 

The party was very similar to Addilyn's 1st birthday party. We ate in our driveway and played in the backyard. We had the sprinkler, water balloon games, and a parachute to play with. Everyone brought side dishes and we had the grill going and otter pops with cupcakes for dessert. It was ridiculously humid- but it didn't rain!! The sun came out and everything.

Addilyn knew exactly what to do. She was shushing everyone so that we could sing Happy Birthday to her. Can you see the smile on her face?? She blew the candles out like a professional. 

Levi inhaled his cupcake. Addilyn wasn't even half done when he was finished. I think he enjoyed it!

I am so proud of these cupcakes. I finally got the frosting right and they even frosted beautifully. They were delicious!

Some cute things:
-Levi eats ALL the time. And he's mad if you're not feeding him and you are eating. Like, scream at you until you feed him mad.
-He dances by leaning his upper body side to side
-If you catch him looking at you and you smile, he throws you a huge grin and coyly looks away
-Levi can go up and down the stairs like a boss. But he still is figuring out how to turn around before going down so he's starting feet first rather than head....
-He gets super hot when he sleeps
-Levi cuddles. I mean lean into you and cuddle type cuddles. I LOVE it.
-He knows when his sister is gone and goes to town doing things she doesn't like him doing

Others
- He naps 30 minutes in the morning and ranges 1-2 hours with some help in the afternoon
- Yesterday was his last time nursing in the morning which was the last thing to ween him from
- Did I mention he loves to eat?
- He poops seriously all the time. I don't know how he gains weight with how much he poops.
