And speaking of March...

Scott built Addilyn's bed way back in July when we were gone in Seattle. She's been sleeping on it- but it hasn't been painted. Scott had to put some trim pieces on it and then prime it. We found some "oops" paint for $5 that happened to be purple. Addilyn was so thrilled and tickled that she was going to help paint it. She did a great job too! And she takes such pride in her bed now.

Remember my comment in that last post about Levi dressing up? Here are a few more outfits...

almost 29 weeks
So this photo above.... we had gone to SciQuarium again by ourselves with plans to meet up with a friend. Well, just before our friends came, I discovered Levi had pooped out of his diaper. WHAT! He hasn't done that in forever. The only casualty was his shirt. But he still had a sweatshirt to wear over it.

The spring weather has been beautiful- when it is. You know, spring swings from being nice to being like winter again. But whenever it's been nice, the kids have been outside!! Mostly playing in dirt. Which Levi has eaten enough for all of us.

Living in the south definitely has it's perks. Our planting season starts in March! We had a garden clean up day and planted. Scott and I later made our beds into mini green houses which has really helped on these cold spring nights.

hands in his pockets
Last Saturday we had our Primary Easter activity. It was crazy because they planned for max capacity- almost 900 eggs. So everyone of course got a gazillion eggs (if they were fast enough). Addilyn has spent her life training for this moment and was awesome.

Sometimes they play nice with each other. And it's wonderfully adorable. They had huge bubbles in the tub and loved hunting for the eggs I threw in there.

Over the weekend

Saturdays we have planned out. For the rest of the year. Pretty much. At least for the rest of the gardening season. Scott has put himself in charge of this year (I don't mind). He has drawn out the plans, literally, and has already started prepping our beds. He's watched tons of YouTube videos and borrowed books from the library. Our garden is going to be at least 4x's as big as it has been because he's got three more beds he has created now that most of our chopped wood is gone. It's nice though, because that means Addi will be going outside again with him. She really loves hanging outside with him.
It might be hard to tell- but he dug down about 8 inches right here and you can see where there is about 4 inches of soil and then a perfect line of where the clay starts...He's been digging all of it up so our roots can go further. What a champ.
Later in the same day we took a drive up to Pilot Mt. and met some friends of ours for the trip. It's only about 40 minutes away and we wanted to get a few of the geocaches that are dedicated to Pilot Mt.
The first was at a dedicated viewpoint of the mt.

another cache
The rule is that you cannot place geocaches in national or state parks. However, you can do virtual caches. That is where you take a picture at the determined place and log online with the picture that you were there. It's the sneaky way to get around it legally.

In the beginning Addilyn wanted to be held the whole time. Well I wasn't about to carry her- she is fully capable of walking! After the first 10 or so minutes she finally stopped asking and actually refused to be carried. She was having a blast walking around the rocks and climbing up and down. There was some leftover snow as well on the shaded parts of the trails that she made sure to step on.
It's cool to think that 2 years ago, Addi was in the same position here as Levi was this past weekend. Gosh, look at their blue eyes. Here is from our first time visiting Pilot Mt. Unlike that trip, we just drove to the top instead of hiking the whole thing.

love this picture. looking for planes and birds.

love this sweet boy

Niel and Karen's car got stuck on the side of the road. We parked to go find the last cache and when they got back, well, they made a mess. From the left over snow and rain it made for quite a soft shoulder!

Addilyn at 11 months

Addilyn turned 11 months old 1 week ago. I still have a hard time believing that she'll be one so soon. Wow. So to celebrate her 11 months, here is a post full of photos and videos to all you adoring fans of hers.

Below: Addilyn feeding herself. Sometimes she gets into the mood that she can do it all by herself- after all she does finger food. So with a little assistance in the dipping department, she did really well!

Below: While we were car shopping she fell asleep in the truck we were borrowing. We always hear her make these noises and then they stop when she's in the car. That's how we know she's asleep. Well since I was sitting in the back behind her, I caught it on video. Oh she is so cute. Singing herself to sleep.

Below: It's a little long, almost 3 minutes. But it's worth it. This is me and Addilyn in the bathroom during bath time. Ever since Addilyn has been standing, it's a no brainer for her to want to do it in the bath tub. After countless times of putting her back on her bottom, I stopped. So if you can't understand what I'm saying, I'm saying "You need to sit on your bottom" over and over.

You can see her second tooth on the right. It's growing!
We went to the Travis's for Easter dinner. After dinner on the porch, we played this game "Would you Rather". There's a challenge card with all sorts of different challenges and Scott got one where he had to be blind folded and touch 3 people's faces to guess who it was. You can see by the second "face" we cheated.

Helping in the garden

Addilyn took her first bubble bath. At first she was scared of it, but then she got used to it and enjoyed it. When she was scared of it she wouldn't move, then Scott swooshed the water around her and she got a better idea of what it was.

Spring, spring, spring!

Oh it has been beautiful here! We've been in the 60's-70's and yesterday and today in the 80's. I'm a warm weather person. Unfortunately I did forget about the bugs here. They just woke up since it's been over 70. But otherwise it's been great. Addilyn has been loving playing outside in the grass and with Cabo. We've been planting our garden and doing all sorts of yard work.

My first project, a crinkly baby block.
I got a sewing machine! Scott claims that all of his power tools are mine too...but this one is really mine! It was a few months late (my Christmas present) but it was worth the wait. We got a great deal. I've already made a couple of things and just went to get more fabric for more projects. Oh man!

Her first tooth!
I finally got a good shot of Addi's first tooth. It's a little harder than it looks to get a wiggling baby to pause for my (slow shutter) camera. But she's a doll! The next tooth coming in will probably be the one right next to it in the middle. As for other news, I don't remember if I wrote this last time, but she's crawling! She was doing a tummy pull/kick thing for a while. But now she's up on all fours and does a classic crawl. Her beautiful skin on her knees are now red from going everywhere. It's time we invested in some baby gates!

Talking to Addi
I babysat Addison again this week. I put Addison in the Bjorn (front pack carrier) and put Addilyn in her stroller and went for a walk. It was quite toasty and a workout! But it was fun. I almost dared to bring Cabo along, but I thought it'd be better to not look as crazy as I was.
SO cute!

Addilyn is such a doll. She is so full of life. Since we've been going outside she's been taste testing everything...yuck! But she has fun while she does it. Cabo has also been loving the extra attention.

My other handsome child.
I've never been so in love with someone's toes.
