Our Anniversary

Friday night: We went to the Greensboro Children's Museum for the first time. WHAT you say? We went to a museum that's somewhat close to us for the FIRST time? Ya...this one isn't free for us. But you bet your bottom we went on the $2 a person night (rather than $8)! And as a cool note- this airplane below had of course, seats in it. Scott being the curious guy lifted the seat and saw that they are in fact B/E Aerospace seats. They're in horrible condition. So Scott made it his job to see that B/E donates new seats for the museum. They're going to have a ribbon cutting and everything and have a small exhibit for the kids. I'd say I'm pretty proud of him for that. He didn't even talk to me about it first! He just went ahead! (not that he needs to... normally though I would have heard him mention something about his idea of doing it)

My big kids

Saturday (the day before our anniversary) we went out to an early dinner. We went to this AMAZING oyster bar. We order crab cakes as an appetizer and their full moon platter to split. It contained: crab, oysters, clams, muscles, scallops (we ordered extra of those), shrimp, and buttterrrrrrrrr. It was so amazing, we ordered another one. The waitresses were extremely impressed that we could pound down so much seafood. It was THE best that we've had. They shucked our oysters right there.

Happy SEVEN years to us!!
Our actual anniversary was on Sunday, August 9th.

Five

Scott and I celebrated 5 whole years on Friday. Can you believe it? Neither can we. Five years and two babies later. If you asked me 5 years ago where I saw myself... I can tell you I would only be dreaming if it was anything like it is now.
Scott and I aren't real gifters. We'd rather go do something. That something usually is eat food. :) Friday night I showed him a picture/movie video I made of the last 5 years. Don't worry, it was only 10 minutes long. Saturday though friends of ours babysat Addi and Levi while Scott and I went out for lunch. The best seafood ever. Well, since last year in Charleston. It was sooo good. If only we knew about this place before :) Our waiter let us just hang out after we were done. He said since we had two kids we should just relax right now. If only he knew it was our anniversary- maybe we would have gotten a free dessert??

Sunday morning and Levi looked so handsome. Addilyn was jealous he getting his picture taken, so that one is of her eating toast with pesto.

Grandma & Aunt Maudie

Grandma Jadwin and Aunt Maudie came for a little over two weeks. Here is their vacation in photos. I tried to make them as much in order as I could. But between all the cameras, I did the best I could!

One of the days we went to Tanglewood Park. They newly renovated their water park. It is a BLAST. Next year we will get a pass. It was so much fun. Addilyn is a true water baby.

I'm probably missing some pictures, and they are a little out of order (especially at the end). We had so much fun with Grandma and Aunt Maudie. We did lots of Goodwill shopping, cooking, eating, canning, napping, walking, swimming, sweating, eating...oh I already said that. It was great! They babysat Addilyn for us when we went to the beach and on our anniversary night. When we were gone, they rented a car and took a drive....I gave them directions on how to get to places based on leaving from our house. Well, they now understand by what we mean when the roads are crazy here. They spent several hours LOST going from Walmart to Costco. Addilyn was a trooper we heard. They are missed!
